II Thessalonians 1:1-10

Paul gives thanks to God for evidence of God’s work of grace in other believers

Growing faith in God


Increasing love for one another


Perseverance during trials


Paul keeps in mind the future for believers and for unbelievers

For believers in Christ, there will be vindication (proof that their faith in Christ is right)
True believers endure no matter what

Two cool things:
Christ will be glorified in His saints!

The saints will marvel at Christ!

For unbelievers, there will be retribution (punishment for a wrong act)
Christ is the reason believers avoid retribution

God must punish sinners to remain true to His complete character

Knowing God will punish those who afflict persecution on believers is
essential to remember in order to faithfully endure.
