Cultivating a Biblical Mind-set”*
The redeemed mind achieves great gains. Ps. 119:97-104
We are to love God with our mind (Mtt. 22:37) and with our walk (2 John 6)
The ruin of man’s intellectual capacity:
(see additional handout – “The Dirty Dozen”)
The unregenerate mind is “always learning and never able to arrive at the knowledge of the truth” (2 Tim. 3:7);
The unregenerate mind has “a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge” (Romans 10:2)
Our minds can be reclaimed! (see addition handout)
Richard Mayhew: “The ultimate form of idolatry would be to reject the mind of God in Scripture and worship at the altar of one’s own independent thinking.”
