1. Pray for one another v. 30

2. Prayer is a struggle

3. Pray for your own ministry

4. Pray for specifics requests
Acts 9:29
Acts 13:50
Acts 14:19
2 Corinthians 9:12 that provision of physical needs would “overflow in many expressions of thanks to God.”

5. Pray for future opportunities in ministry
v. 20 To preach the Gospel
v. 24 Going to Spain

Tyranny of the Urgent

Consider the arena of the Urgent versus the arena of the Important in your life.

Mark 1:35 “In the early morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house, and went away to a secluded place, and was praying there.”

Evaluate time over-spending in your life.

What is the content of your prayers?

He was given infirmity that he might do better things.
He asked for riches that he might be happy;
He was given poverty that he might be wise.
He asked for power that he might have the praise of men;
He was given weakness that he might feel the need of God.
He asked for all things that he might enjoy life;
He was given life that he might enjoy all things.
He has received nothing that he asked for, all that he hoped for;
His prayer is answered.
