What hinders us from walking in humility? ~ Philippians 2:3
* Selfishness (selfish ambition) ~ James 3:14-16

* Pride ~ Proverbs 16:18

“Nothing is higher than lowliness of mind, and nothing is lower than boastfulness.” ~ John Chrysostom

One who walks in humility will…think this way:
* Have an exalted view of God

o 1 John 4:20

* Have an exalted view of God’s Word

o Deuteronomy 29:29

o Psalm 26:2

* Have a right view of their gifts, abilities and attainments

o Ephesians 2:8-9

* Be humble towards others...

* Ephesians 5:21

* 1 Peter 5:5-6

o by being submissive to one another.

o by serving one another.

Matthew 20:26




o by encouraging one another to spiritual growth.

o by forgiving one another.

o Meditate on Scripture.

o Tune in to your own attitudes, words and actions.

o Take whatever steps necessary.
