Why study wisdom?






Definition of Wisdom


Proverbs 9:10


Proverbs 1:1-7

Wisdom supplies us with these life helps.
1) Know wisdom
2) Know instruction
3) Discern
4) Receive instruction
5) Wise behavior
6) Understanding righteousness, justice and equity.
7) Gives prudence
8) Gives discretion
9) Increases learning
10) Will acquire wise counsel

Wisdom is teachable
Wisdom thinks properly



*Doing the right thing, at the right time, with the right motives.

*To live wisely is to orient everything about ourselves and our lives around God rather than around ourselves.

*The ability to see all of life from God’s point of view and to know how to respond accordingly.


How important and valuable is wisdom in relation to life?


Wisdom has to be our highest treasure. It is possible to become smart, powerful, and rich and not become wise. Yet true wisdom is the ultimate key to the use of our intelligence, the application of our power, and the management of our wealth.



The value of wisdom:
1) Wisdom brings joy to others.
Proverbs 10:1

2) Wisdom is valued by our Lord.

3) Wisdom is attainable, near and clear. It is ready to be received.
